I am a wellness coach through Dr. Sears' L.E.A.N. (Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, and Nutrition) program. I work one-on-one or in group settings, primarily with mothers seeking wellness for their families.
I began my wellness journey by experimenting with my own nutrition, noticing how different foods affected my feelings of well-being, learning how to move my body in a way I enjoy, noticing how food affects my mood, and removing toxins from my household and replacing items with non-toxic options.
I consider myself a "positive habits enthusiast." Wellness looks different on everyone. What makes one person feel like their most whole, vibrant self may not work for another. I meet clients where they're at on their wellness journey, and help implement positive habits based on goals.
Food sensitivities and autoimmune disorders run in my family. Through trial and error, I discovered holistic habits that help support me throughout life. I went from experiencing pain and inflammation so serious that it was debilitating, to feeling strong, empowered, and vibrant in my body and in my life. I did this by removing foods that triggered my issues, increasing nutrient-dense foods, and learning to love movement of various kinds, including weight-lifting, walking, yoga, and more.
I am firmly anti-diet-culture and I stand strong against toxic exercise and eating habits. Too often, "health" is equated to physical appearance, when really it's a reflection of how we feel inside and out. Food and exercise can impact our mood and our longevity -- aspects that affect our families, too.
I have worked with many families in the Fargo, North Dakota and Moorhead, Minnesota region, as well as throughout the Red River Valley. Whether you want to introduce more veggies to your family's daily food intake, or you want to feel at home again in your postpartum body, contact me with any questions you might have!
